Hi, I'm Amy!
Currently, I am selling original paintings, hosting mobile alcohol ink painting parties and painting events, painting with our families moonshine and raising awareness for epilepsy through art!
I use alcohol inks activated by moonshine, which creates an expressionistic style of work. This approach evokes a feeling of movement via the colors in the inks using various tools to manipulate the medium. The essence of my work is largely inspired by my life and my love of traveling.
I am an artist for the Hidden Truths Project. My work is displayed and for sale at The Studio 276 Gallery in North Carolina .. our families moonshine distillery. As well as at The Troy Wirth Gallery in California.
My love to create started with my grandfather, who was a photographer, and gifted his camera to me when I was a teen. I studied fine art in college and have a BFA in Visual Communication.
I then moved to Chicago & started my paper design company, Page & Mason Invitations. 5 years later I moved the company to Arizona to be closer to family. My most proud creative moment was when I designed a dress made completely out of paper, which was displayed at the Phoenix Art Museum for an event!
My life changed when my oldest son was diagnosed with epilepsy. As they say, all good things must come to an end, and this was my new purpose - to be his advocate. Eventually, that lead me to where I am at today creatively for which I am so thankful for. A portion of the sales of my work and events go to support epilepsy awareness.
I am the mama of two boys (Cole and Owen) and proud wife. Fun fact - our initials in birth order spell TACO (Trent, Amy, Cole & Owen). Together we love to of course eat tacos, cook, play football, are obsessed with traveling, the ocean and snuggling with our rescue pups.
I share most on insta so please follow along @amymachale
